Patna, Sep 8: Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary on Tuesday stressed the importance of time-bound and transparent redressal of people’s grievances, urging officials to work with transparency and sensitivity in dealing with complaints.
Speaking at the state-level 'Sahayog Programme' here, Choudhary said the government aims to resolve people's grievances within 30 days through the ‘Sahayog’ camps.
According to a statement issued by the Chief Minister’s Office, 137 applicants attended the programme and their complaints were disposed of.
Choudhary said those facing complex issues that could not be resolved at the district level should approach the 'Sahayog Programme' in Patna.
He directed officials to ensure timely resolution of complaints related to revenue and land reforms, education, home, rural works, health, food and consumer protection and social welfare.
The CM also asked them to ensure that eligible applicants receive old-age pension and ration cards at the earliest.
A senior official said the state-level ‘Sahayog Programme’ has been introduced to facilitate a fresh review of cases of people dissatisfied with the resolution of their complaints.
The ‘Sahayog Camps’, organised at the panchayat level across the state, are held on the first and third Tuesday of every month.
