Naidu Hails Skyroot Aerospace After Successful First Space Mission
Amaravati, Jul 18 : Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday congratulated Skyroot Aerospace for successfully placing multiple technology demonstration payloads into a low earth orbit in its maiden space mission. The chief minister said Vikram-1 successfully reaching orbit is a demonstration that our private space sector is ready to stand alongside the world’s best. “Heartiest congratulations to Skyroot, ISRO, IN-SPACe, NSIL, and the thousands of scientists, engineers, technicians, and partners whose vision, perseverance, and excellence made this remarkable achievement possible,” Naidu said in a post on ‘X’. According to the CM, this achievement marks the dawn of a new era, where the strength of our scientific institutions and the ingenuity of Indian entrepreneurs come together to push the boundaries of innovation. This is a proud moment for every Indian and an inspiration for generations of young innovators, he said, adding that “May India’s journey to the stars continue to soar.” Vikram-1, India’s first privately developed four-stage, seven-storey-tall orbital rocket, launched at 12.05 pm on Saturday, successfully placed multiple technology demonstration payloads and postcards, including from Prime Minister Modi, into a low earth orbit. Dubbed ‘Mission Aagaman’ (meaning arrival), it marks the entry of India’s private space sector into the orbital launch market. Launched from Sriharikota, the mission was a “grand success,” Skyroot Aerospace said.
