England Beat India by Nine Wickets in Fourth T20I, Seal Series Victory
Bristol, July 10 : England defeated India by nine wickets in the fourth T20I to take an unassailable lead in the five-match series.
Chasing India’s total of 158/7, England produced a dominant batting display, reaching the target comfortably with a strong performance from their top order.
India, after being put in to bat, managed 158 for seven as skipper Shreyas Iyer played a brilliant unbeaten knock of 80 runs off 49 balls. However, the total proved insufficient as England’s batters chased it down with ease.
England’s bowlers had earlier kept India under pressure on a challenging pitch, with Jofra Archer and Josh Tongue picking up two wickets each.
With the victory, England clinched the T20I series, while India will look to end the tour on a positive note in the final match.
