KATHUA, 29 NOV; In continuation to the drive against Illicit Liquor menace launched by Kathua Police on the directions of Senior Superintendent of Police Kathua Sh R C Kotwal JKPS, sucessfully nabbed one lady with 50 pouches(180 ml each) of illicit liquor at Keerian area of PS Lakhanpur. She has been identified as Preeti W/o Ashok Kumar R/o Chak Drab Khan Tehsil & District Kathua.
0n 28.11.2022 a Police Party of PS Lakhanpur headed by PSI Mansoor Ahmed under the supervision of DySP DAR Kathua Sh. Sukhdev Singh & Insp. Vijay Kotwal SHO P/S Lakhanpur during patrolling duty at Keerian area apprehended one lady who was selling/transportation of illicit liquor(Desi Liquor) to people of the area in order to gain illegitimate profit. During the search of said lady the police party was able to recover 50 Pouches of 180 ml each thus by making a total of approx. 12 litres of Desi Liquor from her possession.
Thereafter all the recovered consignment of illcit liquor seized & 01 lady was arrested on spot.In this regard a Case FIR No. 96/2022 U/S 48 (a) Excise Act registered at Police Station Lakhanpur and further investigation is underway.
