Leh, Feb 27: The Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, R K Mathur was called upon by a delegation led by Skarma Tsering Delex, President All Ladakh Hotel and Guest House Association Leh at Raj Niwas today.

The delegation made a request to the Lt. Governor for the restructuring of loan accounts with additional funding for stressed units of JKDFC/ JKSFC Ladakh considering the unavoidable circumstances that have adversely affected the tourism business in Ladakh.

Zakir Hussain Zaidi, Managing Director, Halman Apricot Ladakh from Kargil called upon the Lt. Governor to apprise about the progress of his entrepreneurial venture with apricot and Pashmina. He made a request for financial assistance to procure Apricot Drying Machine from Turkey and Apricot oil processing and packaging machine from Mumbai to enable him to start the business. Mr Zakir also requested the Lt. Governor to organise Ladakh Entrepreneurs meet with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).

LG Mathur heard their requests and assured them to take up the issues with the concerned authority for due consideration.
