JAMMU, Sep 3: The Border Security Force (BSF) apprehended a suspected Pakistani intruder along the Jammu International Border in the Kanachak sector on Thursday, officials said.
According to official sources, personnel of the 44th BSF Battalion apprehended the individual during the morning hours near Border Out Post (BOP) Sohan in the Kanachak sector.
The apprehended individual has been preliminarily identified as Nazir Sadhir, son of late Mohammad Nazir, a resident of Luni village in Sialkot district of Pakistan.
Following his apprehension, the man was taken into BSF custody for questioning. The concerned Deputy Inspector General (DIG) also reached the spot and reviewed the situation, officials said.
The BSF is questioning the individual to establish his identity and ascertain the circumstances and purpose of his entry into Indian territory.
