Parking Projects Worth ₹49.34 Cr Approved For Jammu

Srinagar, Sep 13: The Jammu and Kashmir Government, led by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, has accorded administrative approval to two major parking infrastructure projects in Jammu at a combined estimated cost of ₹49.34 crore.

The approved projects include a Parking-cum-Commercial Complex at Parade and a Multilevel Car Parking facility at SMGS Hospital, Jammu.

The projects are aimed at addressing growing parking pressure and easing traffic congestion in some of the city's busiest areas. The proposed facilities will provide organised and modern parking infrastructure while promoting better utilisation of available urban space.

The Government said the projects are part of efforts to strengthen planned urban infrastructure and improve traffic management in Jammu.

Once completed, the facilities are expected to provide greater convenience to commuters, visitors and residents, particularly in areas witnessing heavy vehicular movement and limited parking availability.
