Minister Javed Rana reviews Jal Shakti works in Zadibal constituency
SRINAGAR: Minister for Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology & Environment and Tribal Affairs, Javed Ahmed Rana today chaired a review meeting to assess the progress of various Jal Shakti sector works in Zadibal constituency. He directed the concerned officers to ensure their timely completion and effective implementation. The meeting, held at the Civil Secretariat Srinagar, was attended by MLA Zadibal, Tanvir Sadiq; Chief Engineer, Jal Shakti, Kashmir along with other senior officers. During the meeting, the Minister reviewed the progress of ongoing drinking water supply and allied infrastructure works in the constituency. He also took stock of the issues and demands projected by the MLA. Rana directed the concerned officers to accord top priority to the issues raised by the MLA and ensure their resolution in a time-bound manner. The Minister stressed that projects nearing completion should be expedited so that they are commissioned and made operational without delay, enabling the people to avail the intended benefits at the earliest. He further directed the officers to resolve all bottle necks affecting the progress of ongoing works to ensure that no development project suffers avoidable delays. The Minister underscored the importance of close coordination among all stakeholder departments for effective implementation of developmental projects. He also directed the officers to make judicious use of available resources, ensure optimum utilisation of funds under various schemes and maintain the highest standards of quality in execution of works. Reiterating the government’s commitment to ensure uninterrupted and equitable drinking water supply across the constituency, the Minister directed the officers to expedite the pending water supply schemes, bridge distribution gaps in underserved areas and maintain regular water quality testing to safeguard public health. “The present administration is firmly committed to strengthening drinking water infrastructure across Jammu and Kashmir. Officers must ensure timely completion of all ongoing schemes, as every delay directly affects the public welfare,” Rana asserted
