DHENKANAL, SEP 20: A man allegedly killed his wife following a domestic dispute and later died by suicide in Odisha’s Dhenkanal district, police said.
The incident took place on Saturday night in Dadaraghati village under the jurisdiction of Parjang police station.
The deceased were identified as Mithun Nayak, 33, and his wife Rasmita Nayak, 30.
According to the preliminary investigation, the couple had a heated argument before Mithun allegedly assaulted his wife, resulting in her death. Police said he subsequently hanged himself, while their children were reportedly locked inside another room.
SDPO (Kamakhyanagar) Chittaranjan Behera said an investigation has been launched to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.
