LG Manoj Sinha Urges J&K Youth to Dream Big, Embrace Learning and Innovation
Srinagar, Jul 28: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday called upon the youth to dream big, embrace lifelong learning and foster innovation, saying they are not merely job seekers but the architects of India’s future.
Addressing a job fair at a college in Srinagar, the Lieutenant Governor encouraged students to adopt three guiding principles—dream big, keep learning throughout life and always embrace innovation—to succeed in a rapidly changing world.
“You are not merely job seekers. You are the makers of India’s future. In your hands rests not only your own career but also the direction of the nation’s development. You are the strength of Skill India, the face of Digital India and the true bearers of Aatmanirbhar Bharat,” Sinha said.
Urging students to think beyond conventional career paths, he said the future belongs to those who seek new solutions, develop fresh ideas and lead change. He added that success becomes meaningful only when achieved with ethics, integrity and a sense of responsibility.
The Lieutenant Governor described the job fair as an important initiative that connects young people with employment opportunities while boosting their confidence and aspirations. He said such platforms help bridge the gap between education and industry and contribute to building a stronger and more prosperous Jammu and Kashmir.
The event brought together more than 50 reputed companies from sectors including information technology, healthcare, banking and financial services, manufacturing, retail, hospitality, education, logistics and engineering, offering students opportunities to interact with potential employers.
Highlighting the evolving role of educational institutions, Sinha said colleges and universities must prepare students not only for examinations but also for real-life challenges.
“Education should not remain confined to classrooms. It must equip every student with confidence, practical skills and the ability to navigate life’s journey successfully,” he said.
He reiterated that empowering youth through quality education, skill development and employment opportunities remains central to the vision of a developed and self-reliant India.
