LEH, SEPTEMBER 4: The Leh Apex Body has decided to cancel its planned padyatra scheduled for September 10 in view of the upcoming Sub-Committee-level meeting with the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on September 9 to discuss various issues concerning Ladakh.
The decision was taken ahead of the crucial talks with the Centre, with the Apex Body maintaining that the padyatra would no longer be held.
The body has also demanded the complete withdrawal of all cases registered in connection with the September 24 incident last year, citing the precedent of withdrawal of cases related to the CJP protest in Delhi.
The September 9 meeting is expected to focus on key demands and issues raised by stakeholders in Ladakh.
