LEAD Core Group Convenes Meeting to Hold Key Discussions

Jammu: A meeting of the Core Group of LEAD (LJK Economic Growth & Development Dialogue) was held to review the organisation’s ongoing initiatives and to discuss the roadmap for the coming months. The meeting was chaired by LEAD Convenor Harinder Gupta and was attended by Sunil Shah, Director, VMDF, who joined from Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The members held extensive discussions on expanding LEAD’s initiatives and strengthening its presence across Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh. The Core Group reviewed the success of LEAD’s three annual editions of Mahotsav and deliberated on preparations for the fourth edition, Mahotsav 2026, as well as the publication of the third edition of the LEAD Annual Smarika 2026. The group also discussed Tourism, Manufacturing, Housing and Cooperatives as the primary focus sectors for the organisation’s upcoming initiatives and stakeholder engagement. The Group also finalized the organisational structure of LEAD’s sectoral teams to strengthen focused interventions across priority sectors. During the deliberations, it was also resolved that LEAD will proactively identify and take up key developmental and public policy issues concerning the Union Territory with the Government and relevant authorities. The participants emphasized the need for greater collaboration among institutions, entrepreneurs, professionals, and youth to build a robust ecosystem for economic growth and employment generation across Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh. Among the members present were LEAD Board Members – Surinder Mohan Gupta, Rajesh Gupta, Raman Suri, Kamal Kishore Sharma, Sanjeev Sharma, CA Rajeev Gupta and Alankrit Mahajan.
