Budgam, 24th November 2022: As a part of Public outreach programme, Budgam Police today organized ‘Thana Diwas’ at Police Station Beerwah, Rayar Khansahib,Police Station Khag and Police Post Mochwa.
At Police Station Beerwah, the event was chaired by SDPO Magam Shri Mohammad Saleem-JKPS alongwith SHO Beerwah Inspr. Firdous Ahmed. Besides trade fraternity of Beerwah,sarpanchs , panchs, numberdars, chowkidars, transport union representatives and other respectables of the society attended the event.
During the event, issues of public interest were discussed among which the issues like Drug menace, rising social evils and public services delivery received comparatively larger attention. During the event, all the grievances were heard and were segregated on the basis of area of action and jurisdiction.The attendees were assured that all the grievances pertaining to Police department will be dealt as per the law of the land and remaining grievances lying outside the domain of Police department will be taken up with the concerned departments under laid down procedure. During the event, the cooperation of general public in eradication of Drug abuse, social crimes etc was sought. It was said that these events play an instrumental role in bridging the vacuum between Police and General Public and transforming police force into responsible, transparent, accountable and sensitive to public demands.
Similarly, at Rayar Khansahib “Thana Diwas” was organised by Police Station Khansahib which was Chaired by SDPO Khansahib Shri Ghulam Mohiu Din-JKPS along with S.I Suhail Ahmed and other officers. The event was attended by respectable citizens of Rayar, Ich, Arizal Mujhpathri and other areas of Rayar Khansahib.
During the event, some issues were raised by the participants.The chairing officer assured them that their genuine issues will be taken up with the higher ups for their early redressal.
At Police Station Khag Thana Diwas” event was observed which was chaired by SHO Police Station Khag Insp.Bahar Ahmed The meeting was attended by Sarpanchs, Panches, numberdars, chowkdars, representatives of transport unions and other respectables of Khag and adjoining areas.
During the meeting, participants highlighted various issues of public importance like road development, Macadimization,water shortages, power supply etc.They were assured that their genuine grievances pertaining to Police will be resolved on priority. The issues pertaining to civil administration will be taken up with the concerned departments for their early redressal.
Meanwhile at Police Post Mochwa Thana Diwas” event was chaired by SDPO Charar Shareef Shri Salim Jehangir- JKPS accompanied by SHO Police Station Chadoora Insp.Mahboob Banday and Chowki officer PP Mochwa S. I Mudasir shafi.The meeting was attended by respectables of Mochwa, Kralpora, Gopalpora and wathoora.
During meeting, participants highlighted various grievances/ issues of public importance. They were assured that their genuine grievances pertaining to Police will be resolved on priority and grievances pertaining to civil administration will be taken up with concerned Departments for their redressal.The participants appreciated the role of police for conducting such type of meetings and assured their full support and cooperation in curbing the menace of social evils of the society.
