Kargil, Nov 28: In Ladakh, One of the Prominent Religious Scholar and authority of Kargil, Mir Waiz Kargil Town and former Councillor Town LAHDC Kargil, Aga Syed Hussain Al Mossavi passed away prompting an outpouring of tributes from his followers, religious bodies and politicians.
He was 77 years old and after a brief Illness passed away at District Hospital Kargil. As the news spread out thousands of People especially from Town Area assembled at His Native Village Goma Kargil in the form of mourning processions and took part in His Last rites and Nimaz E Janaza.
His Nimaz Janaz was led by Chairman Gaurdian Council IKMT Kargil Sheikh Mohammad Mohaqiq in which thousands of people participated at Hussiani Park.
Those who participated in his Nimaz Janaza were Chairman IKMT Sheikh Sadiq Rajayi, Executive Members, Councillor Town Haji Mohd Abass Adulpa, Former MLA Haji Asgar Ali Karbalia, Former EC LAHDC Kargil Aga Syed Kazim Sabiri and thousands of his followers and sympathizers.
His Funeral was taken to His Native Village Goma Kargil in the form of Mourning Procession from Qadimi Masjid Chanchik Kargil.
As the news of Syed Hussain’s death broke, condolences poured in from various people, including Cheif Executive Councillor LAHDC Kargil Dr Jaffar Akhone, Chairman Haj Committee Ladakh Mohd Ali Majaz, Chairman IKMT Kargil Sheikh Sadiq Rajayi, President JUIAK Sheikh Nazir Mehdi Mohammadi, Councilor Town Haji Mohammad Abass Adulpa, Former Chairman JK LC Haji Anayat Ali, Former Minister Qamar Ali Akhone & Haji Nissar Ali, Former MLA Haji Asgar Ali Karbalia & Ghulam Raza, Social Activist Sajjad Kargili, State Media Secretary BJP Mohammad Hassan Pasha, President’s of Political Parties and Religious Scholars.
Syed Hussain Mossavi born in 1946 was the only son of Syed Mehdi Mossavi who got his Basic Islamic Education from his Father, and later went to Iraq for Higher Education.
After returning from Iraq he gave his service at Goma Kargil and other parts of Kargil Town and later also joined Government service as Arabic Teacher.
He was also one of the founding members of Imam Khomeni Memorial Trust, and was an important Member of the Gaurdian Council. Aga Syed Hussain was also elected as Councillor LAHDC Kargil for Town in 2008.
