Jammu: A militant was killed in an encounter with security forces in Rajouri on Friday. The search operation was launched in the forest area at Dassal Gujran by the J&K Police and Army on Thursday after a tip-off regarding suspicious movement in the forest.
An ambush was laid and sporadic firing continued throughout the night. Militants fired upon the forces, who retaliated and in the ensuing encounter, one militant was killed.
