Srinagar: GC Murmu worked with Prime Minister Narendra Modi when he was the Gujarat Chief Minister, an official said.
Mr Murmu on Wednesday resigned from his post in Jammu and Kashmir and Manoj Sinha has been appointed as his successor, said a statement from President Ram Nath Kovind’s office.
The President has accepted the resignation of Shri Girish Chandra Murmu as Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir.
