Poonch, Jan 4, TEN Network | As part of skill India Initiative, a “Welding Course” was conducted by Army at Mendhar. Un-employment of youth has been a challenge in most parts of J&K. To assist youth in settling down and to provide better employment opportunities, skill development is an important aspect.
Therefore a need was felt to initiate a process wherein the potential of un-employed and unaware youth are channelised to make them avail self employment opportunities.
With the change in the socio-economic environment, initiative like this will facilitate the youth of the region to meet the future challenges. Such initiative of the Army has been highly appreciated by the youth, their parents and civil administration.
